At a Glance Expert’s Rating Our Verdict The HP Envy 13 gets a lot of things right. The design, the trackpad, the performance and the screen are all very good. Using this laptop is a real delight in most respects, its physical portability is fantastic and it has clearly been designed with a sensible budget in mind. It’s a good buy. There are a few issues, though. Unless use is very light, battery life is disappointing and the build quality is slightly less impressive than it at first appears – there’s some flex to the body, making it a bit less luxurious than you might expect looking at photos....

HP has unveiled today at CES 2021 the newest laptop in the HP Envy line, the HP Envy 14, geared as an all-rounder laptop for creatives. The device boasts a very similar exterior design to the latest HP Envy 13 , with a silver slim finish. The 14in screen features a 16:10 (1920 x 1200) IPS touch display. That 16:10 aspect ratio follows in the footsteps of the 2020 Dell XPS 13 , allowing for an 11% greater viewing area than a standard 16:9 laptop of the same size due to its taller screen....

Apple’s new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have a new screen design that does away with the familiar notch in favour of a pill-shaped and circular cut-out in the screen that houses the sensor array for Face ID and cameras, with the proximity sensor now behind the display. The phones fill in the gap between the two with black pixels. Apple calls this created long pill shape the Dynamic Island, which will appear to expand and retract depending on what you’re doing on the phone, from music playback, to using Face ID, to making payments....
