Amazon Fire 7 Review

At a Glance Expert’s Rating Our Verdict Almost two years later an all-new Fire 7 arrived still at the same price. However, while there are some new aspects – and Alexa is baked into the software now – it’s not “all new” at all. But it is still great value. NOTE: There’s now an updated version of the Fire 7. Amd Radeon Adrenalin Release Date, New Features

Back in 2015 AMD renamed its Radeon software from Catalyst to Crimson. Then last year it tagged on ReLive Edition due to the inbuilt livestreaming capabilities. Now, at the end of 2017, it has renamed it again to Adrenalin Edition. Not after the hormone, as you might guess, but after a red rose which matches Radeon’s red colour. The drivers include updates to Radeon Chill, WattMan, ReLive and Enhanced Sync. There’s the usual performance improvements too (AMD reckons there’s been a 15 percent boost in performance on average since Crimsom ReLive was first launched)....

Apple, Where’S My Power Button?

The AirPods Max are the height of Bluetooth headphone luxury, made from stainless steel and offering incredible audio performance, but despite the on-board smarts and premium capabilities, there’s a missing feature available on practically every piece of powered tech around right now: the humble power button. Reading that, it sounds odd, but examine the AirPods Max and you’ll realise that I’m telling the truth. You’ve got buttons to change noise cancellation modes and an XL digital crown to control media playback or summon Siri, but there’s nothing to turn the headphones off when you’re done....

Asus X553Sa Review

At a Glance Expert’s Rating Our Verdict The Asus X553SA is a lesson in the sacrifices you need to accept when buying a bottom-rung laptop. Parts of the build are basic, the screen has some issues and — the real kicker — it doesn’t feel fast. Cheap phones and cheap tablets can often feel almost as fast as their expensive relatives, but the X533SA is unmistakably slower than a Core-series laptop....
