Huawei has confirmed that its Mate XT Ultimate tri-fold foldable phone is going global in a matter of weeks. Huawei has revealed the FreeLace Pro, an updated take on its wireless neckbuds that throws in bigger sound, better battery, and active noise cancellation. The addition of ANC is the biggest change, allowing the FreeLace Pro to mute the outside world entirely. The neckbuds can reduce noise by up to 40dB, averaging at 25dB, with performance that Huawei claims makes them comparable to Bose’s on-ear equivalents. That’s a big claim, but noise-cancelling on earbuds is getting better and better, and once you factor in the silicone ear tips that will block some outside noise on their own, the company could be onto something....

As is usual, LG has announced some new mid-range K series phones with no pricing, release date or availability. That said it’s good to see the somewhat beleaguered mobile division at LG still cranking out handsets. We hope it’s doing something right on its way back to profitability. The K61, K51S and K41S are all quad-camera smartphones, though at this level of specs it’s usually only two of the cameras that do most of the work, with others for things like depth perception....
