Bose Discontinues Its Sleepbuds Citing Battery Issues

Bose has taken the extreme measure of officially discontinuing its Sleepbuds, its in-ear noise masking earbuds. In a blog post and email to customers, the company blamed poor battery performance and power issues after a raft of complaints. The company is offering all customers a full refund on the $249 Sleepbuds. In a quite fawning apology John Roselli, General Manager at Bose Corp said: “Based on what we knew, we believed that software and firmware updates could fix the issues....

Can I Still Get Rich With Bitcoin?

The price of Bitcoin has been suffering since the start of the year, and with Lloyds Bank banning their credit card users from buying cryptocurrency and China tightening their rules around cryptocurrency in general , it’s no great surprise that the crypto market is shrinking. Cryptocurrency has always been a turbulent ride for investors, and with the market and the technology it’s based on still being in their infancy, it can be an intimidating arena to step into....

Chuwi Surbook Review

At a Glance Expert’s Rating Our Verdict For the price, the Chuwi SurBook isn’t good enough. Though it is cheaper than mainstream low-end Intel laptops, the performance is disappointing, and Chuwi itself has better performing products at lower prices. You might also want to Consider spending a little more to get an overall better laptop in the first place. For £349 you can pick up an Acer Swift 1, which at the time of writing costs £269....

Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 1 Strikes Hard Onto Netflix

Cobra Kai never dies, but it’s definitely ending – dojos from the Valley are closing their doors with the sixth season, which has just debuted on Netflix. The sequel to the cult classic Karate Kid film series has gained a wide following. The show took older viewers on a nostalgic journey into the past, while introducing the younger audience to the heroic and somewhat comical world of struggling dojos. At the same time, Cobra Kai skillfully and humorously addresses the toxic patterns and clichés of 1980s cinema and introduces old protagonists to a new world....

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Review

At a Glance Expert’s Rating Our Verdict The Dell Inspiron 15 Gaming gets just about everything right apart from its screen tech. Its design is fine, its performance admirable and its battery life a jaw-dropper. This makes its lacking screen quality all the more annoying, although at least Dell lets you upgrade this if you can afford £1299 rather than £899. It’s something to Consider carefully if £899 is your upper limit, though, as the poor colour and contrast really does not do games justice....

Devolo Home Control Smart Heating System Review

At a Glance Expert’s Rating Pros Bright, clear display Good app features Cons Fussy startup process Our Verdict The Devolo smart heating system doesn’t need an engineer to install it – in fact, it only took us minutes to do it ourselves. However, to control the boiler you’ll need the smart thermostat as well. The app experience lets it down a bit, but the full website more than makes up for it....

Dji Phantom 4 Review

At a Glance Expert’s Rating Our Verdict The Phantom 4 is unquestionably DJI’s best drone yet. It shoots decent quality 4K video and is easier to control than ever before. Batteries are very expensive, though, and the intelligent modes still don’t quite match those you’ll get with a 3DR Solo which, in our opinion, is still the better choice if you need to capture complex cinematic aerial shots. Of course, the Solo is more expensive, doesn’t come with a camera and lacks obstacle avoidance, so the Phantom 4 is still a great choice if you can afford it....

Dji Spark Remote Controller Review

At a Glance Expert’s Rating Our Verdict The Spark Remote Controller is well designed and makes it much easier to fly the drone, as well as offering better range, more reliable live video and also lets you use the Spark’s Sport mode. It’s still quite expensive at £100, but well worth it if you want manual gimbal control and like to fly manually when recording video. Of course, if you don’t already have a Spark, the Fly More Combo is better value overall....

Echo Show Vs Echo Show 2

At a Glance Our Verdict So, will the Echo Show (2018) prove an instant success, or should you be hunting down its cheaper predecessor instead? We compare the two. Price and availability Design and build The original Echo Show wasn’t exactly a device we’d describe as having a pleasing aesthetic. The 7in display sat atop twin front-facing 2in speakers, all of which were encased in a grey plastic shell. It was perfunctory, but far from desirable....
