The Galaxy S25 phones are now official and, as expected, most of the focus is on the top-end Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The most expensive of the trio of flagship phones will get you the most impressive hardware specs. Indeed, five are totally exclusive to the Ultra when comparing it to its S25 stablemates.
We have an in-depth comparison of the Galaxy S25 models , but here’s a quick rundown of the things that are only found on the Ultra.
Pre-order the Galaxy S25 at Samsung and find out what the best S25 deals are .
The biggest screen
Although the technology available on the S25 Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays is the same, including a 2600 nit peak brightness and 1-120Hz refresh rate, the Ultra has the biggest of the three.
At 6.9 inches, it’s 0.2- and 0.5-inch larger than the S25+ and S25 respectively. So, if bigger is better for you, the Ultra is calling out.

The best cameras
If you want the best shooters then the Ultra is the one which provides the most diverse and high-specced cameras.
It’s the only one with a 200Mp sensor as well as a new 50Mp ultrawide camera. Add in 10- and 50Mp cameras for a total of four on the rear, whereas the other S25 models just have three.
Samsung says you get optical zoom levels of 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x, but the Ultra’s siblings top out at x3.
The most premium design
Samsung saves the most premium materials for the Ultra so it gets a titanium frame as well as Gorilla Armor 2 glass.
It’s not only arguably better looking, but also tougher than the Armour Aluminium and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 found on the other S25s. It remains to be seen how much long-term durability will vary between them.

The most storage
The Ultra is the only one to offer a storage capacity larger than 512GB.
Like the S25+, it starts at 256GB, but power users will rejoice at the option of 1TB. It will, of course, cost you extra though.
It’s also worth noting that none of the S25 phones offer expandable storage, so make sure you choose a model with enough.
The biggest battery
Finally, the Ultra has the largest battery capacity of the three, primarily due to having enough space for it.
However, it’s not as exciting as the upgrades listed above. At 5000mAh, it’s only 100mAh larger than the S25+ and by no means market-leading.
