Google is launching its next generation of flagship smartphones on 20 August, but not much is being left to the imagination for the Pixel 10 series.
The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold are some of the most leaked phones we’ve ever seen, with dozens of posts revealing their design, displays, colours, chipsets, battery capacities and much more.
These aren’t just speculative reports, either. As you’ll see in our full Pixel 10 guide , most come from trustworthy news sites and leakers with strong track records for accurate news. While we can’t be 100% sure that everything reported will materialise, it’d be a surprise to see anything significantly different.
However, there are a few key things yet to be revealed, and they’re likely to affect whether you buy one or not. Here are five key Pixel 10 details that we still don’t know.
How fast will wired charging really be?
Leaks paint an incomplete picture of charging speeds on the Pixel 10 series.
The Pixel 10 Pro is rumoured to match the 29W of its predecessor, while the 10 Pro XL looks set to jump from 37- to 39W, which would make it the fastest-charging Pixel ever.
The latter is likely to require the separate purchase of a 45W charger once again as Google only supplies a cable.

But what about the regular Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold? Will they stick at 27- and 21W respectively, or also get upgraded? That remains to be seen.
Wireless charging upgrade for everyone?
It looks like the Pixel 10 series will finally get support for Qi2 wireless charging. This is significant because it enables a MagSafe-style magnetic charging experience that’s much more convenient and versatile than the current Qi.
While not guaranteed, it looks like Qi2 will be built into the phones themselves, rather than relying on a case (as you’ll find on the OnePlus 13 ). Currently, the HMD Skyline is the only Android handset with built-in Qi2.

It also looks like Google is launching a new range of Qi2 accessories under the ‘Pixelsnap’ branding, including charging pucks and two types of stands. But will all the Pixel 10 devices benefit from Qi2?
A leaked image shows a shade of dark blue, which is exclusive to the regular Pixel 10, suggesting we’ll see it on that phone.

While there’s no practical reason to leave it off any traditional candybar phones, the complex design of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold might make it difficult to include the necessary magnets.
Android 16 with the good bits?
The Pixel 10 series is almost certain to ship running Android 16 . But which iteration will it be?
While all Pixel 9 phones are eligible for Android 16 now, it’s a basic version which is very light on new features. Given the bugs that emerged after its launch, I was wrong to upgrade as soon as I did .
The big question is: will the Pixel 10 phones be any different at launch? Google hasn’t confirmed when its big ‘Material 3 Expressive’ redesign will be available, but it’d make sense for this to coincide with the launch of its flagship phones.
While I’m not fully on board , I’m excited to give something new a try.
New Pixel exclusives?
Every year, Google tends to launch an exclusive new feature alongside its Pixel flagships.
On the Pixel 8 series, it was ‘Best Take’, which allows you to swap out faces on group shots to ensure everyone’s looking their best. Last year’s Pixel 9 handsets got ‘Add Me’, which let you put the original photographer into a group photo.

These features tend to focus on the cameras and form a significant part of Google’s Pixel adverts. But what could be next? It’d be a big surprise to see the Pixel 10 series launch without a similar headlining feature.
What about UK pricing?
An extensive leak has revealed full Pixel 10 pricing in the US , and it’s looking familiar:
- Pixel 10 – from $799
- Pixel 10 Pro – from $999
- Pixel 10 Pro XL – from $1,199
- Pixel 10 Pro Fold – from $1,799
That’s identical to the Pixel 9 series, suggesting pricing will remain the same in all regions. However, specific UK pricing is yet to be revealed.
If it follows the US trend, we’d expect the Pixel 10 at £799, the 10 Pro at £999, the 10 Pro XL at £1,099 and the 10 Pro Fold at £1,799. But will that be the case? And will the tweaked storage capacities also be the same?
