Aldi is back with another bargain air fryer. It previously sold a dual-drawer model and an air fryer oven , both under the Ambiano brand – as is its latest, more compact offering, which is on sale in Aldi stores now.
If a larger model is what you’re looking for, check out our recommendations for the best dual-drawer air fryers and the best air fryer ovens we’ve tested.
As you’d expect, Aldi’s air fryers are notable for their extremely reasonable price points. Its latest model is no exception. It’s a single-drawer 4.8L air fryer, which you can buy in store for just £39.99.

A 4.8L model will give you plenty of space to cook for two, although we’d advise buying a more capacious model if you have a big family.
The Aldi Ambiano has a good range of features – but there’s one that you wouldn’t expect to see at this price point. That’s the viewing window that lets you peek in to check on the progress of your food cooking.
That’s something that not even the best Ninja air fryers have. It’s very useful to check on browning, especially if you’re baking or roasting, as opening the drawer to take a look will let out the hot air, affect the cooking time and maybe the results.

Aldi
We also really like the fact that it has a digital display and touchscreen controls. Not only are digital controls simpler and more accurate than a dial, but it makes the air fryer easier to keep clean . It has 12 preset programmes, a 60-minute timer, variable temperature control and overheat protection.
As with any air fryer, it’ll be much cheaper to cook in than your inbuilt oven. This Ambiano model is 1500W and you can get a decent estimate of cooking costs using an online energy calculator . Using the UK January 2025 price cap tariff, it’ll cost you around 19p to cook for half an hour – although it could be less, depending on the settings you use.
You can see the 4.8L Ambiano on Aldi’s website but you can only buy it in store.
