While Netflix’s constantly changing library allows you to stream new shows and movies every month, it sadly also means that some licensed content leaves the platform. This month, it was the turn of the series Dexter.
Dexter stars Michael C. Hall as a man leading a double life. While he works for the police in the forensic department, he also hunts and murders serial killers who haven’t been punished by the criminal justice system. It’s also considered to be one of the many shows with a wildly controversial ending.
It left Netflix US on 18 June 2025, and it’s now available to stream on Paramount+ (which also has a seven-day free trial ). If you can’t fork out for another streaming subscription on top of Netflix, but still want your Dexter fix, then don’t panic. There is still a way to watch it on Netflix.
How to stream Dexter on Netflix UK in the US
I’m based in the UK, and I can confirm that all eight seasons of Dexter are still available to stream here. If you’re based outside of this country, you can still use a VPN to access the British library of Netflix from wherever you are based, using your Netflix account – including the USA.
VPNs reroute your IP address, connecting your device to another server around the world. If you connect to a UK one, then the Netflix website should think you’re based in this country, and not the US .
