  • Samsung Galaxy S25 FE smartphone
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 tablet
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra flagship tablet
  • No Galaxy Tab A11 or Galaxy Z Fold TriFold

Samsung just held its latest Galaxy Event, at which it announced a new smartphone and a new duo of flagship tablets.

If you thought that Samsung was all done with major product reveals following the Galaxy S25 series earlier in the year and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 series just a couple of months back, the company has news for you.

At its 4 September Galaxy Event, held at the IFA tech trade show in Berlin, the company revealed three major new products that are all available from today. Here’s how they shape up.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE

We’ve had a complicated relationship with Samsung’s FE phones. On the one hand, they’re very accomplished, almost-flagship phones at a knock-down price. On the other hand, they always seem to land too late to seem like good value.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is launching a month early compared to last year’s Galaxy S24 FE . Will that be enough? Some of its specs suggest so. Others, not so much.

Let’s start with the positives. With dimensions of 76.6 X 161.3 X 7.4mm and a weight of 190g, it looks to be a much smaller device than its predecessor, which addresses one of our biggest criticisms.

It comes packing a similar 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display and, seemingly, the same camera setup. That means a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide, and an 8MP 3x telephoto camera. Samsung is promising an upgraded AI-enhanced 12MP selfie camera as well as improved low-light shots and Super HDR videos through (you guessed it) AI.

Perhaps the biggest point of concern here is the Galaxy S25 FE’s Exynos 2400 processor. That’s the same chip that powered the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S24, not the Galaxy S25 with which it’s supposed to be related. This comes with a modest 8GB of RAM.

Naturally, you’re getting a range of AI features from Samsung, including the Now Bar heads-up summary widget. Samsung is also offering its Google-matching seven year software support promise, which is always welcome.

There’s a 4,900mAh battery, which is an upgrade over the 4,700mAh cell of the S24 FE, especially accompanied by a larger vapour chamber. We like the sound of 45W wired charging, too.

We also appreciate the fact that there are three storage options this time around: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is available in Icyblue, Jetblack, Navy, and White from today. Prices start at £649/$649 for 128GB, while the 256GB model costs £699/$709, and seems like the smarter buy. The range-topping 512GB model costs £799/$799.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11

As we discuss elsewhere, the big unspoken news about Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab S11 series is that there is no Plus model . Instead, the standard model returns after it was ditched last year.

This will pack an 11-inch 2560 x 1600 120Hz AMOLED display, with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, into a relatively compact 165.3 X 253.8 X 5.5mm body. The Wi-Fi model weighs 469g, with the 5G model gaining 2g. It’s IP68 rated, too, which is one area where Samsung continues to have an advantage over the iPad Pro.

The fingerprint sensor is on the display, which isn’t something you always see on Android tablets, where they’re often stashed behind the power button on the side.

Samsung’s premium tablets always sound great, and the Galaxy Tab S11 has a reassuringly familiar-looking quad speaker set-up. Another signature Samsung tablet feature is S Pen compatibility, and you’ll find a redesigned, non-Bluetooth-enabled stylus in the box.

It’ll run on a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+. That might not be as familiar as the Snapdragon brand used in previous models, but we had a good experience with the Dimensity 9400 in the Oppo Find X8 range. This is a proper flagship chip.

This will be backed by 12GB of RAM and 128, 256, or 512GB of storage. There’s capacity for up to 2TB of expansion via a microSD slot.

There’s an 8,400mAh battery driving things along, with support for 45W wired charging.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 is available from today in Grey and Silver. Prices start from £799/$799 for the 128GB version of the Wi-Fi model. The 256GB variant will cost you £899/£859, while the full 512GB will set you back £999/£979. If you want 5G or LTE support, you’ll pay even more.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

Samsung’s range-topping tablet packs a boldly refreshed design, with minimal bezels and a potentially divisive semicircular display notch.

It’s also the thinnest Galaxy Tab to date, with dimensions of 208.5 X 326.3 X 5.1mm and a weight of 692g (695g for the 5G model). You get the same IP68 rating as the smaller model, as well as quad speakers, an on-display fingerprint sensor.

For both tablets, there’s a redesigned S Pen with a new hexagonal shape and a cone-shaped tip that supports writing from an increased angle. On the software side, it supports Drawing and Writing Assist, which uses AI to soup up your scrawling.

Regardless of that unorthodox camera notch, your eyes will more likely be gawping at the Ultra’s 14.6-inch 2960 x 1848 120Hz AMOLED display, which also features the Galaxy S25 Ultra ’s appealing anti-reflection technology – something the standard Galaxy Tab S11 notably lacks. Like the regular Tab S11, it packs a 1600 nits peak brightness.

It’s powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip as the regular S11, but with more RAM: either 12 or 16GB.

There’s a 13MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide on the back, while the front camera has slimmed down to a 12MP ultra-wide – hence that shrunken form factor. Last year’s model had both wide and ultra-wide units, so this seems like a downgrade, if not a particularly bothersome one.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is powered by an 11,600mAh battery (up from 11,200 mAh in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra ), and there’s 45W wired charging support.

On the software side, both tablets feature an enhanced Samsung DeX tool for improved multitasking. Extended Mode pairs one of the tablets up with an external monitor, running Samsung DeX across both screens simultaneously with full drag and drop capabilities.

You can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra from today, starting at £1,199/£1,199 for the 256GB Wi-Fi only model. 512GB will set you back £1,299/$1,319, while the 1TB top model (which also gives you 16GB of RAM instead of 12) costs £1,549/$1,619. As with the regular Tab S11, 5G or LTE models cost even more.

What Samsung didn’t announce at IFA 2025

There are still more devices to come from Samsung, which didn’t make an appearance at today’s event.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 is expected to turn up soon, offering a new budget tablet option. It’s likely to be available in regular and Plus models once again.

Then there’s the ambitious Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold , which is expected to receive a very limited South Korea-only rollout later this month.

The company might be done for the year after that, but the Galaxy S26 series should arrive in early 2026.
