Fujifilm has announced the release of the Instax Mini 11 , the latest in its line of popular affordable instant print cameras. The entry-level camera improves on the previous Instax Mini 9 with a more compact, rounded design and by adding an automatic exposure function.
Fujifilm said the auto exposure can sense ambient light levels when taking a photo, and adjusts the shutter speed and flash levels to give you the best possible shot. The Instax Mini 11 also has a selfie mode, where pulling out the front of the lens adjusts it for when you turn the camera on yourself.
The camera also comes with stickers to personalise the shutter button.
Instant cameras have enjoyed somewhat of a revival in recent years and Fujifilm has been at the forefront with the Instax Mini line, offering sub-£100 cameras and selling them in high street locations like Urban Outfitters. The Instax Mini 11 will cost £69.99 when it goes on sale on 5 March (£5 more than the old Instax Mini 9) with 10 packs of film coming in at £8.99 per pack.
It may seem like an expensive alternative to snapping shots on your phone, but you might want to stick the photos up in your room or in an album, and the cameras can be a fun way to record a party or a festival visit.
You’ll be able to buy the Instax Mini 11 in Blush Pink, Sky Blue, Charcoal Gray, Ice White, or Lilac Purple. It’s powered by two AA batteries and comes with a hand strap.
We’ve reviewed plenty of Instax cameras and find them to be good quality, fun products. The Instax Mini 11 should prove no different.

Polaroid has continued its twenty-first century revival with the Hi-Print, a new pocketable Bluetooth photo printer that you might prefer to its instant cameras .
The unit prints onto 2.1 x 3.4in with adhesive backs, letting you print credit-card sized stickers of photos from your phone.
Polaroid said when the Hi-Print prints with its official photo paper, it uses a dye-sublimation process that should result in waterproof prints that don’t fade. Here’s hoping.
All you need is the printer, a pack of paper, and the iOS or Android app and you’re good to go.
The £81.99 printer is available now from Polaroid’s website , with a pack of 20 prints costing £15.99. It’s a little pricy, but sometimes it’s nice to make physical all the images we normally keep digitally.
