The first images of the Google Pixel 10a mid-range smartphone appear to have leaked online, and it’s not good news for anyone who hated the Pixel 9a design.

Earlier today we reported on the news that a Pixel 10 Pro prototype had appeared on a Chinese auction site.

Around the same time, it seems as if an “engineering back cover” for the Pixel 10a has also appeared on this same site .

While the listing is no longer live, Android Authority spotted it and preserved the image for posterity.

Suffice to say, the image quality is truly terrible, to the point where couldn’t speculate on its authenticity with any degree of confidence.

Let’s go with it for a second, though. If genuine, this leaked component suggests that the flash is going to be positioned a little further away from the camera then on the Google Pixel 9a .

Pixel 10a design looks familiar

That’s it for notable changes, which itself is no surprise. In the aforementioned Pixel 10 Pro prototype leak (which is far more convincing), we seem to get confirmation that Google isn’t shaking up its design language for the Pixel 10 generation.

We see no reason why the Pixel 10a would be any different, even if it isn’t set to hit the market until March or April next year.

That’s a bit of a shame, given that not everyone was bowled over by the Pixel 9a’s bland camera cutout. Don’t get us wrong – it’s a phenomenal mid-range smartphone with a great camera and strong performance, but it’s hardly a looker.
