Before you start
Viber is fully optimized for use on Android and Windows 8 tablets as well as iPad devices so you’re not restricted to using it on your phone. Here’s how to use Viber on a tablet.
Note : If Viber is activated on your mobile device, it must be the latest version in order to install Viber on your tablet. Make sure you have the latest version installed on your mobile device before attempting to activate on any tablet.
iPad and Android
Download and install Viber for your tablet either for iPad or Android.
Open the Viber app and select continue.
Select your country from the dropdown menu and enter your mobile telephone number. The number is used to create a new Viber account or to sync with your existing account. When you’re done select continue.
You will receive an activation code from Viber as either a text message or a Viber message if you already have Viber installed on a different device.
If you already have Viber installed on another device, you’ll be directed to sync your tablet with it. Enter the code into the box and select click done.
If you already have Viber installed on another device, but you want to activate your tablet as your only Viber device click the link highlighted.
You will receive an activation code from Viber via text message. Enter the code in the Register screen and hit done to create a new Viber account.
Windows 8
Download and install Viber for your Windows 8 tablet.
Open the Viber app and select yes when asked if Viber is installed on your mobile device.
Select your country from the dropdown menu and enter your mobile phone number. Now hit continue.
You will receive an activation code from Viber (as a Viber message, not SMS). Enter the code into the box and select finish.
