It’s been a while since we’ve seen a brand new sci-fi epic come along and shake up the film industry, and Dune is the film to do just that.
With an all-star cast including Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Dave Bautista, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Issac, Josh Brolin and Jason Mamoa (to name a few), Dune is an adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel by Frank Herbert and is the first part of the full story.
As it’s part of the Warner Bros. franchise, it’s also another film has released both in cinemas and for home release. If you’d like to watch Dune – both in theatres and at home – then we have everything you need to know. We have a similar article for Halloween Kills and The Matrix 4 .

Dune is out now in UK cinemas, US cinemas and on HBO Max. You can watch the trailer below to get hyped for what’s to come:
Where to buy Dune cinema tickets
You can now buy cinema tickets for Dune. You can pick them up from the likes of Cineworld , Vue , Odeon , Picturehouse and The Everyman if you’re in the UK, and from Fandango , AMC and Atom Tickets if you’re in the US.
How to watch Dune on HBO Max
HBO Max also includes the Friends reunion , classic series such as The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, the Justice League Snyder Cut and many other films and shows from the Warner Bros. vault.
Currently, HBO Max is exclusive to the US. However, if you’re in the UK and would like to watch from home , then there is a way.
How to watch HBO Max in the UK

Once you’ve chosen your VPN, here’s what you need to do:
Billing information for HBO Max
For the next step, you’ll need the HBO Max app. We have successfully tested this method using NordVPN and an Android phone .
- Launch your VPN on your iOS/Android device and connect to a US server
- Create a new Apple ID/Google Play account in your browser that’s tied to the US (leave the country blank)
- Register your new account on your iOS/Android device app store
- You should now have access to the US app store – download and install the HBO Max app
- Tap ‘skip’ if the app store asks you to add payment information to your iOS/Google Play account before you’ve installed HBO Max
- Create a new account in the HBO Max app with your email address and password
- Use PayPal as your method of payment (this can be a UK account)
- Once your account is verified, you can sign in from any device
Sometimes, the Google Play Store does not change to the US version, even when creating a new account.
The way to get round this is by connecting to a VPN on a PC, signing into the Google Play Store US website , searching for the app you need and sending it to your phone (whilst still connected to the VPN). You can see an example using Peacock below:

There have been reports of users not being able to install HBO Max on iOS as the app store forces users to register their payment details and doesn’t accept UK PayPal if you try to register with this account.
To get round this, we recommend purchasing US App Store credit via a digital gift card – which can be added as a US payment option.
When the site asks you to put in the recipient, enter your own email address and the code to redeem the money will be sent to your inbox. Then when you need to add payment information in the app store, select ‘redeem gift card or code’, and you should be able to add the money as credit on your account.
Will Dune release on UK VOD services and DVD?
Dune will only release on HBO Max at the same time that it releases in theatres. When it does eventually come to UK VOD services and DVD, it won’t be until at least a few months after the initial cinema release.
