The finale of the NFL season has arrived with Super Bowl 2025 set to be one of the most glamorous and star-studded of all time. Here’s how to watch the Super Bowl in the UK.
Although it’s generally known as Super Bowl 2025, its official name is Super Bowl LIX (aka Super Bowl 59) and the teams are battling it out to win the Lombardi trophy.
Who is playing in Super Bowl 2025?
Playing in the Super Bowl this year are the two-time defending champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes who will hope the team can do something never seen before.
Three Super Bowl wins in a row, aka the ‘three-peat’. No other team has even had the chance to do this.
Hoping to spoil the party are the Philidelphia Eagles, led by Jalen Hurts, who lost to none other than the Chiefs at Super Bowl LVII just two years ago.

The Super Bowl will take place on Sunday 9 February and will be played at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans – home of the Saints.

What time is Super Bowl 2025 kick-off in the UK?
The Super Bowl start time in the UK is 11:30pm (though usually a tad later after the national anthem and some fireworks).
You can expect it to finish around 3am, depending on things like whether the game goes to overtime and other possible delays.
If you’re in the US, it is 6:30pm ET or 3:30pm PT.

How to watch American ads during Super Bowl 2025
As well as the game itself and the halftime show, there’s always plenty of hype around the adverts – sorry, commercials – that air during the Super Bowl.
They cost millions of dollars even for a short spot so the companies go to town on them, often with celebrity appearances.
For those in the UK (or just outside the US) you will need to watch the Super Bowl on the official Game Pass streaming service which is hosted on DAZN.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a subscription yet as you can get one for just 99p to watch the big game .
What TV channel is Super Bowl 2025 in the UK?
If you’re in the USA, then you can simply watch the Super Bowl on Fox (you can also stream it for free on Tubi ) but things are more complicated in the UK.
There are many places you can watch the game, including broadcast TV and online streaming. Here are your options:
Sky Sports
It’s no surprise that Sky Sports will be covering the Super Bowl, and you can tune in on either Sky Sports NFL or Sky Sports Main Event channels (407 and 401 respectively).
Coverage starts at 10pm with build-up from Neil Reynolds, Phoebe Schecter, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Ndamukong Suh.
There are various ways of accessing Sky Sports and you don’t need a Sky Q box and satellite dish. The easiest way if you’re not already a Sky customer is to watch on Sky Now with a Sports Day Membership which costs £14.99 – one-off payment with no contract.
Those with a Sky Glass smart TV can use various ‘hacks’ for the best experience including the Auto Enhance feature, Night Mode and a range of voice commands – including Taylor Swift’s viral “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs” line – to find the big game.
ITV
If you want to watch on terrestrial TV then ITV is once again the place where you’ll find it.
It means you can watch for free on ITVX website and app or switch your TV to ITV One with coverage starting at 10:45pm.

NFL Game Pass on DAZN
As mentioned briefly earlier, Game Pass is the official streaming service for the NFL outside of America and it’s now found on DAZN.
This will include the original US broadcast from CBS, the Halftime Show and, importantly, all the American Super Bowl commercials. There’s also plenty of other Game Pass content you can access including shows like Hark Knocks.
How to watch Super Bowl 2025 for free
In the UK, the easiest way to watch the Super Bowl for free is via ITV – details are above.
It’s not technically free, but the Game Pass special offer on DAZN for 99p isn’t far off and means you get as close to the full American viewing experience as possible. Again, details are above.
How to watch the Super Bowl in 4K
Sadly, as far as we know, there’s no way to watch the Super Bowl in the UK in 4K resolution.
Watch the Super Bowl from abroad
Services like ITVX and Sky Go are geo-restricted outside the UK, but that doesn’t mean you can’t watch the Super Bowl 2024 when you’re overseas.
If you’re not using DAZN which allows viewing abroad, all you need do is download and use a VPN service that will mask your IP address and make it appear to the app that you are in fact in the UK.
You just need to download and log in to the VPN, select a UK server and then use the service like you normally would.
