The Oscars are the most important awards in the film industry, and the ceremony draws a crowd of A-list celebrities to the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre. This year’s Academy Awards will take place this weekend, and Emilia Pérez is up for the most awards with a total of 13 nods. The Brutalist, and Wicked followed with 10 nominations each.

What time do the 2025 Oscars air?

The 2025 Academy Awards will take place at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre on Sunday 2 March 2025 . Here are the times that it airs:

  • 4pm PT (West Coast US)
  • 7pm ET (East Coast US)
  • 12am GMT – Sunday, 2 March (UK)

The show will last around 3½ hours and will be broadcast on TV and around the world.

If you’re in the US, the Oscars will air on ABC.

In the UK, the Oscars show will be broadcast on ITV1 .

Those who don’t like to go to bed late can watch a highlights package of the ceremony, airing on ITV1 at 10.45pm GMT on Monday 3 March.

How to watch the Oscars online

US viewers who won’t be near a TV have an easy option – head to the Hulu to stream the whole show live or watch it through the ABC app . Hulu Live TV, YouTubeTV, AT&T TV and FuboTV will also be streaming the show.

UK viewers can stream the show on ITVX . The service will also feature behind-the-scenes content and sneak peaks from the ceremony.
