Realme unveiled its 14 Pro series phones at an event in Copenhagen just before Christmas, then in January the phones arrived in India – but the European market had yet to get a look in. Now, Realme has officially announced the series’ European launch as part of its MWC 2025 activities.
The Realme 14 Pro+ is the star of the show, and it’s one of the flashiest-looking mid-rangers I’ve seen in a while. Realme worked with Valeur Designers, the design firm responsible for some of Bang & Olufsen’s most attractive speakers, to craft the look of the phone. It certainly stands out from the crowd.
The Pearl White model has a unique seashell-like texture on the rear panel, and every unit is unique thanks to the way it’s manufactured. It’s the first phone to include a temperature sensitive, colour-changing pigment in its housing, and when the temperature is below 16 degrees Celsius, a swirly blue pattern emerges.
Flagship specs at mid-range prices
So, it’s a cool-looking phone, but that only matters if it performs well, and thankfully, it has specs to match. The phone runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 platform and has a massive 6000 mAh battery that means the phone could potentially last days on a charge; it charges at up to 80W, too. There’s also a lovely 120Hz OLED display with a slim bezel and quad micro-curves, a lot like the latest flagships from Oppo, Xiaomi and Vivo.
It’s IP68/IP69 rated , again matching the latest Chinese flagships. This means it’s immune to dust ingress, can be fully submerged in water and even withstand jets of hot water.

Realme
It’s the cameras that impressed me the most, though. The Realme 14 Pro+ is one of the only phones in its price category to boast a flagship-grade telephoto camera. It has a 3x lens with a 50Mp 1/2-inch Sony IMX 896 sensor, as well as 50Mp 1/1.56-inch main camera (and a slightly less impressive 8Mp ultrawide.) It also boasts a unique triple flash arrangement that can detect ambient light temperature, and adjust its output to match.
In Europe, you’ll be able to get all of this for just €529.99 (around £440), which is a pretty compelling deal. Unfortunately, though, we’re still not sure if this one will officially launch in the UK. Realme pulled out of the UK market in February 2024, but the brand hinted it might not be a permanent decision.
I have my fingers crossed that we’ll see this one arrive on our shores, because it has the potential to be one of the best deals in the mid-range market – especially if you’re into photography.
