Detailed renders of the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold foldable have leaked online, revealing a virtually unchanged design. That’s not a problem, as far as I’m concerned.

Android Headlines has been steadily sharing renders of Google’s forthcoming Pixel 10 series over the past few weeks, courtesy of specs provided by perennial leaker OnLeaks. Now it’s the turn of the company’s next foldable phone , which is expected to be called the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

What’s remarkable about these images is just how unremarkable Google’s new bendy flagship is looking. This is ‘spot the difference’ stuff.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold leak: Haven’t we seen you before?

As you can see if you compare the render featured below with our own title image of the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold , there really is very little to distinguish between the two distinct generations of phone.

It seems the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold will have the same rounded-square look when open. It’ll also have the same concentrated camera module, which is much squarer than the rest of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 ranges.

We do get the interesting claim that the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be a tad thicker with dimensions of 155.2 x 150.4 x 5.3mm (the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is only 5.1mm thick).

That would suggest to us that Google is looking to implement a larger battery, which is always welcome in a foldable. However, the post somewhat confusingly claims that those measurements are a fraction out, and that they will likely end up being nigh-on identical to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold leak: Why I’m not bothered by the familiarity

Despite the lack of novelty, I’m not especially bothered that the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is going to look and feel exactly like the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Sure, fresh designs are always welcome. It’s certainly true that other modern foldables such as the Oppo Find N5 and the Honor Magic V3 are coming forward with beautifully skinny designs.

However, the former rival has limited availability (it’s not even coming to the UK), while the latter has its own issues with cluttered software and limited ongoing support. Those are problems the Pixel 10 Pro Fold simply won’t have.

Then there’s the fact that the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold was in itself “A giant leap forward” and “a serious makeover”, as our own review put it.

We can be demanding sorts here at TechAdvisor, but even we don’t expect manufacturers to rip up their design blueprint every year. Especially not when the current one is so very effective.
