Reports from China reveal that the Honor 500 Pro smartphone is in the works, and it looks poised to show the Pixel 10 up.
It only feels like yesterday that we reviewed the Honor 400 Pro (turns out it was May), but word has already reached our ear concerning a follow-up.
We mention Digital Chat Station quite a lot on these pages, as they’re a frequent source of smartphone tips and leaks over on Chinese social network Weibo.
They’ve been at it again, this time concerning the Honor 500 Pro. According to the tipster, the new upper-mid-ranger will pack a 1/1.4-inch 200Mp main camera, much like the Honor 400 Pro before it.

New to this model, it seems, will be a 64Mp OmniVision OV64B telephoto camera, albeit with the same 3x reach as before.
Other specs, according to the source, include a battery that’s described as “the largest in the same class”. The Honor 400 Pro packed a not-insubstantial 5300mAh cell here in Europe, and an even bigger 6000mAh cell elsewhere in the world, but it sounds like the Honor 500 Pro is going even bigger.
The tipster also claims that the new phone is going to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite – until very recently the top Android chip on the market.
With those three specs alone, it sounds as if the Honor 500 Pro could have the Google Pixel 10 beaten on performance and battery life, though its telephoto camera won’t be quite so far-reaching. Factor in the Honor 400 Pro’s £700 launch price (£100 less than the Pixel 10), and it could be a viable flagship alternative in 2026.

Honor’s robot gimbal gamble
In other Honor smartphone-related news, the company has confirmed via Instagram that it will announce the Honor Robot Phone (which it teased at the Honor Magic 8 event) at MWC 2026 in March.
The next Mobile World Congress takes place from 2-5 March.
This new prototype (presumably) phone will feature a unique camera that pops out on a stabilising gimbal arm, with accompanying AI image recognition tools.
