Motorola has finally announced its new Edge range of flagship smartphones including ‘Endless’ displays, 108Mp cameras and 5G support. Here’s everything you need to know about the Motorola Edge and Edge Plus.
When is the Motorola Edge coming out?
Ok so here’s the deal. We’re not getting the fancier Edge+ model in the UK as it looks like Motorola would rather offer a more affordable model to compete in the mid-range .
Instead, the Edge+ will be available in Italy, Nordics and Serbia as well as the US where it’s exclusive to Verizon on 14 May .
We’ll add release dates as soon as we can, but the US will get the phone in the summer.
How much does the Motorola Edge cost?
Let’s tackle the regular Motorola Edge first as we’ll be getting that in the UK. It has an RRP of £549 making it a little bit cheaper (£50) than the OnePlus 8 .
The Motorola Edge+ has a price of $999 and will be available for $41.66 a month for 24 months with Verizon.
What are the Motorola Edge specs?
Here’s a rundown of what we know about each phone. Things that are the same across the two include the 6.7in 90-degree ‘Endless Edge’ display with 90Hz refresh rate, sub-6GHz 5G support and, praise be, headphone jacks.
Motorola also claims it has the most powerful speakers ever designed into a smartphone. In collaboration with Waves, the phones feature Psychoacoustic Bass, Dynamic Treble, Wider Stereo and Dialog Clarity.
