Motorola has teamed up with socialite Paris Hilton to produce the Razr+ Paris Hilton Edition foldable phone . Yes, really.
In a collaboration that has us scratching our heads, the smartphone known in the US as the Razr+ 2024 (and globally as the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra ) is receiving a dazzling makeover courtesy of everyone’s favourite noughties nepo baby.
What exactly is the Motorola Razr+ Paris Hilton Edition?
The Motorola Razr+ Paris Hilton Edition is a Razr+ 2024 foldable phone with a themed paint job and some extra accessories. It’s available now in limited quantities to US customers only.
According to Motorola, the phone’s “bold design” entails a bright pink colour – known, of course, as Paris Pink – with a “personalised touch” that involves Paris Hilton’s autograph scrawled on the back of the phone, along with a somewhat presumptuous “That’s Hot” engraving on the hinge.
As for the promised “exclusive accessories”, you’ll be getting a case and two strap options as part of the whole gaudy bundle.
In case you’re getting suspicious that this particular strain of beauty is only skin deep, Motorola is loading the phone up with “Exclusive Paris-inspired ringtones, alerts, and wallpapers”.
Oh, and it’ll all come bundled up in “Custom-designed packaging with a personalised message from Paris Hilton”. Which is nice.

We’ve got good news and bad news
We’re not sure how much pull a Paris Hilton-themed phone has these days, and we also find the value proposition to be somewhat questionable at first glance.
Motorola is charging $1,199.99 for a phone that launched at $999.99 (£999.99 for the Razr 50 Ultra) some six months ago. It’s already half way through its natural shelf life, which means you’ll be able to find examples (albeit Paris-free ones) for significantly cheaper.
However, there is a bright side to all this. The Motorola Razr+ (2024) – or the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, as we know it – is a really good flip phone. In fact, we reckon it’s the best compact foldable smartphone available on the market right now.
Whether we would like it enough to walk around with it in its new Paris Hilton livery is another matter entirely. But then, we’re probably not the target audience here.
