After so many films and series exploited the theme of blood-sucking monsters, it takes some guts to make a vampire movie. We’ve seen it all: the gothic Interview with the Vampire, YA productions Twilight , the gory True Blood and the art house Only Lovers Left Alive. It felt like pop culture had drained the vampire story for good.
Robert Eggers, however, decided to return to the vampire genre’s roots. For his latest movie, he chose to remake Nosferatu – Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau’s 1922 silent film and an unauthorised adaptation of Dracula by Bram Stoker. Eggers, the creator of dark period dramas with a horror spin such as The Witch, Lighthouse and The Northman, seemed the right person for such a task. To accomplish it, he assembled a unique cast that included Bill Skarsgård, Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Emma Corrin.
How to watch Nosferatu now
The horror is still available in cinemas.
In the US, tickets are available, for example, on AMC Theatres .
In the UK, you can secure your seats via Vue or Odeon websites.
Here’s the trailer for the film:
When could Nosferatu be released on VOD?
The horror by Robert Eggers is now available on digital in the US and the UK.
When could Nosferatu be released on streaming services?
In the US, you can stream Nosferatu on Peacock . The service features an extended version of the film and a six-part bonus material. The basic ad-supported subscription costs $7.99 per month, while the ad-free tier comes at $13.99 per month.
Films on Peacock typically hit Sky and Now in the UK, but we don’t know for sure if this is the case for Nosferatu. If you’re a fan and don’t want to wait for the UK streaming release, you can watch Nosferatu using VPN. A Virtual Private Network will let you bypass the geo-restriction and access Peacock outside the United States. There are plenty of VPN apps on the market, but we recommend NordVPN or ExpressVPN , the most affordable and easy-to-use options.
All you have to do is download one of the apps mentioned, set up an account, and connect to the US server. Below, you will find a complete guide on how to do it.
Launch your VPN on your iOS/Android device and connect to a US server

Hannah Cowton / Foundry
We have still been able to register a UK PayPal account on a US iOS/Play Store account during testing
This should be under the section ‘Add Payment’ in iOS, and ‘Payment methods’ in Android
You should now have access to the US app store – download and install the Peacock app

Hannah Cowton / Foundry
If you don’t have access to the US app store, sign into your VPN on your PC and send the app to your phone via the web
Create a new account in the Peacock app with your new email address and a password

Hannah Cowton / Foundry
Choose between the Premium and Premium Plus plans
Use PayPal as your method of payment

Hannah Cowton / Foundry
We were able to use this successfully on Android
Once your account is verified, you can sign in from your PC or laptop

Jared Newman / Foundry
We have had some trouble streaming from mobile, so we recommend using your PC/laptop for watching Peacock content using a VPN
