Samsung smartphones and wearables have been receiving fresh One UI 8 updates.

Taking things chronologically, the limited One UI 8 Watch beta has been released in South Korea for select Samsung smartwatches, and it’ll soon be coming to the US. The rest of us won’t be receiving this pre-launch software, unfortunately.

The update adds a new UI design, as well as bringing Samsung’s Now Bar and Now Brief heads-up widgets. Four new health features will also be added: Antioxidant Index, Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach and Vascular Load – though only newer Galaxy Watch wearables will have access to all of these features.

The update will eventually apply to the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 5 families, but it’s currently only rolling out to the current Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra range.

One UI 8 beta for phones

More widely available (as noted by SamMobile ) – albeit only for Samsung Galaxy S25 phones – is Samsung’s third One UI 8 beta update for smartphones. It’s commenced rolling out to multiple regions, including the UK, US, Germany, and Korea.

The 1.2GB update fixes a bunch of UI issues, as well as a couple of fresh features. One of those is support for AI-generated birthday alerts within the Now Brief tool.

We’re expecting One UI 8 proper to roll out with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Samsung will hold a special Unpacked event to launch the phones on 9 July, 2025, as well as a rumoured Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE release. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 range should also make a showing at this event.

As such, we’re expecting this latest batch of One UI 8 beta releases to be the final one.
