The follow-up to the OnePlus 13 smartphone could be a bit of a downgrade in a couple of key areas, according to fresh reports.

According to established tipster Digital Chat Station , the OnePlus 15 (Chinese companies tend to avoid the number four) will only have a 1.5K display – a clear resolution downgrade from the OnePlus 13 with its QHD+ / 2K screen.

The new screen will also apparently be completely flat. Whether that’s a downgrade on the OnePlus 13’s subtly curved edges or not is up for debate.

These aren’t the only downgrades predicted for the follow-up to one of our favourite phones of 2025, either.

No more Hasselblad camera?

According to the same source, the OnePlus 15’s camera will ditch the company’s longstanding Hasselblad partnership in favour of independent branding.

This is of some concern, given how much OnePlus cameras have improved over the past few years, starting with the first Hasselblad team-up in 2021’s OnePlus 9 .

OnePlus 13 review camera - 1

Typically one of the weaker elements of any OnePlus phone, we had finally arrived at the point where the OnePlus 13 could largely hold its own with the 2025 flagship class.

While we found one or two camera niggles, our reviewer Alex Walker-Todd generally had a great time with the OnePlus 13 camera system.

The Hasselblad partnership, in particular, has leant OnePlus phone images a distinctive look, with bags of contrast and a fresh pop of colour. It would be a shame for the brand to lose that signature style.

OnePlus 15 camera conclusion and other specs

We should note that the leaker doesn’t outright state that OnePlus and Hasselblad are going their separate ways, but it’s difficult to read this in any other way.

Another revealed spec – albeit a predictable one – is that the OnePlus 15 will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor, which is expected to be the leading mobile processor of 2026.
