- OnePlus 15 to launch globally on 13 November
- Already available in China following 27 October unveiling
- Will likely be joined by 15R (known in China as Ace 6)
OnePlus has officially revealed when it will launch its latest flagship smartphone globally.
After debuting in China on 27 October, the OnePlus 15 will arrive elsewhere on 13 November. While not confirmed, previous generations suggest the phone will be available in both the UK and the US.
This is much earlier than we’d typically expect to see the new OnePlus flagship globally. Its predecessor, the OnePlus 13, debuted in China around the same time last year – 1 November 2024 – but didn’t arrive in Europe and North America until 7 January 2025.
OnePlus is yet to confirm this, but it’s likely to be joined by the mid-range OnePlus 15R, which is expected to be based on the Ace 6 that’s already official in China.
What are the OnePlus 15 specs?
With the OnePlus 15 already official in China, we have a very good idea what the phone will bring to the table in global markets. While some of these specs may change, the fundamentals should remain the same.
The highlight is undoubtedly that huge 7300mAh battery, which is a significant upgrade compared to the 6000mAh cell found in the OnePlus 13, plus super-fast 120W wired charging. However, if other Chinese flagships are anything to go by, these are the most likely candidates for downgrades on the global version.
One thing that almost certainly won’t be changing, though, is the chipset. The OnePlus 15 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s brand-new flagship chipset. Alongside up to 16GB of RAM, you can expect some of the best performance we’ve ever seen from an Android phone.

Elsewhere, the phone features triple 50Mp rear lenses, including a 3x periscope telephoto sensor. While OnePlus has ditched its Hasselblad camera partnership, it’s promising big things from the DetailMax Engine, which replaces it. However, the new rear camera module may divide opinion.
OnePlus has also revealed the three colours in which the OnePlus 15 will be available in China: Misty Purple, Original Sand Dune, and Absolute Black. Let’s hope all of them are available on the global version.
It features a 6.8-inch, 1.5K OLED panel, complete with a class-leading 165Hz refresh. It’ll also ship running OxygenOS 16 , the latest version of OnePlus’ software that’s built on Android 16 .

OnePlus is yet to confirm whether the 15 will be joined on 13 November by the mid-range OnePlus 15R, which is expected to be based on the Ace 6 that’s already official in China. That device includes an older but still flagship-level Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a slightly larger 6.83-inch display that retains the 165Hz refresh rate and an even bigger 7800mAh battery.
Either way, you don’t have long to wait for what might be among the best flagship phones and best mid-range phones of 2025.
