The Oppo Reno 15 has been benchmarked, and the results could worry Google and its Pixel 10 smartphone – if it weren’t for this one potentially glaring issue.
Tipster Anvin has taken to X with a Geekbench benchmark result that appears to be from the Oppo Reno 15 or Oppo Reno 15 Pro.
It shows the device to be running on a Dimensity 8450 chip, with an impressive 16GB of RAM. The resulting score of 1668 single-core and 6274 multi-core is pretty darned good for a mid-priced phone. Indeed, that multi-core score is a match for the Google Pixel 10 and its supposedly flagship-grade Tensor G5.
Given that Google’s phone costs £799, and the Oppo Reno 15 is expected to come in significantly (potentially around £200) cheaper, you might think that Google would be worried.
Why Google can rest easy
Except, it almost certainly isn’t worried at all, and that’s all on Oppo. The company’s approach to global availability in recent years has been opaque at best.
It’s back to selling select flagship phones here in the UK, but the Oppo Reno 14 range didn’t make an appearance in any form. So there’s a chance we won’t be seeing the Oppo Reno 15 family.

There are rumours that the Oppo Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro will indeed appear in global markets, but whether that includes the UK remains to be seen. The uncertainty alone is enough to preclude a major assault on the usual smartphone players in our territory.
Meanwhile, we almost certainly won’t see the range-topping Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max, it seems.
Whatever the case, we’re expecting Oppo to officially unveil the Reno 15 range in its native China before the year is out.
