Best Prices Today: Roborock Qrevo S
Roborock’s Qrevo line is a series of advanced robot vacuums that offer both vacuuming and mopping capabilities. All the Qrevo models come equipped with self-emptying and self-cleaning docks, liftable spinning mops, and intelligent navigation systems, while specs like suction power, dustbin capacity, and smart features vary slightly across the line.

The Roborock Qrevo Master (read our review) sits at the top of the product line. It includes the full host of Roborock’s innovative cleaning technologies and also carries its heftiest price tag. The Qrevo S is second from the bottom of the line and offers a more affordable entry point.
Design
Like all the Qrevo products, the Qrevo S has a minimalist aesthetic and comes in a matte black or white finish. The robot measures a fairly standard 13 x 3.8 inches, and it cleans with a floating, tangle-resistant rubber roller and a pair of mop heads.
Rated at 7,000 Pa of suction power–significantly less powerful than the Qrevo Master’s 10,000 Pa of suction, but still formidable–the Qrevo S has a 330-millileter on-board dustbin.
The dual mop pads spin up to 200 RPMs, providing the agitation to lift embedded dirt and stubborn stains.

At about 20.5 x 19 x 13.4 (HxWxD) inches, the charging dock bucks the trend toward bigger and bulkier base stations. Removable 5-liter clean- clean and dirty-water tanks are installed at the top and a 2.7-liter dust bag is concealed behind a front panel.
The dock employs a three-stage mop washing cycle after cleaning each room: pre-wash, a medium rinse, and high-speed spin drying. But while the pricier models in the Qrevo series wash their mops with hot water, the Qrevo S makes do with a room-temperature mop wash.
Assembly, setup, and room mapping
The system comes assembled except for the mop heads and a plastic ramp you have to snap to the base of the charging dock. You have to connect it your Wi-Fi through the Roborock app, a process that’s initiated by scanning the QR code on the robot. In my testing, the app immediately recognized the Qrevo S and my network and prompted me to login. Start to finish, it took just a couple of minutes.
The robot uses LiDAR and AI obstacle recognition with a front-facing camera to map and navigate your home. When you activate it, you’re prompted to run a quick-mapping, which allows the robot to explore your space without cleaning. When done, it produces a map with room divisions that you can edit to add names, furniture, cleaning areas, and virtual boundaries.

This initial exploratory run also produces a smart cleaning plan. Based on its evaluation of your home, the robot’s AI tailors the optimum suction power, water flow, cleaning route, and number of passes needed to clean it effectively. This gives you a “one-click” cleaning option when you don’t want to fuss with manual settings.
Performance
The Qrevo S lived up to Roborock’s high performance standards during my testing period. It excelled on hard floors, effectively capturing dust, crumbs, and pet hair. In our rice test, it sucked up about 90 percent of the half-cup I “spilled” on the floor. Results were better on carpet, where sucked up every grain.
The robot’s compact dimensions make it adept at navigating under furniture and through tight spaces like chair legs. Like all round robots, though, it had a harder time getting into cabinet toe spaces and sweeping along wall edges. I typically had to follow up cleaning these areas with a broom or stick vacuum.

The dual mop pads spin up to 200 RPMs, providing the agitation to lift embedded dirt and stubborn stains. It was adequate enough to remove some cooking stains on my kitchen floor as well as tracked in dirt around my patio door. It also completely removed a teaspoon of jelly I smeared on the floor and left to dry.
The Roborock app provides control for 30 levels of water flow, allowing you to fine-tune mopping for different floor types and humidity conditions. That’s important because some floor types, like laminate, can be damaged when exposed to too much moisture. When it encounters carpet, the robot ceases mopping and lifts its mop heads 0.4 inches off the floor to avoid dampening and cross-contamination.
While mopping, I ran into the same issue I encountered with the Qrevo Master: the mop heads tend to snap off their mounts as easily as they snap on. This usually happened when a mop head caught on the edge of an area rug or got tangled in an expose electrical cord. In each case, the robot stopped cleaning and its voice assistant alerted me to the problem.

The self-maintenance process isn’t too intrusive. The emptying of the dustbin was loud but mercifully quick. The mop wash produces some light gurgling and the air drying (which Roborock rates at 45db) is barely audible if you’re not paying close attention.
Should you buy the Roborock Qrevo S?
The Roborock Qrevo S’s combination of powerful suction, adjustable mopping capabilities, and ease of use makes it a solid choice for a wide range of households.
At $799.99 (or $599.99 after Roborock’s current $200 discount), the decidedly mid-range Qrevo S provides a level of control and customizability more often seen in pricier robot vacuums.
That makes the Qrevo S worthy of consideration for anyone in need of a reliable, multi-functional cleaning solution.
