The tech world may be eagerly awaiting the Galaxy S25 series , but leaks about Samsung’s Galaxy S26 and now the Galaxy S27 series have surfaced, giving a sneak peek into the future of Samsung’s flagship line.
The big news is that Samsung has reportedly commenced development on a groundbreaking chipset, the Exynos 2700, codenamed ‘Ulysses,’ which is expected to power the Galaxy S27 series in 2027, according to a Korean news outlet (via GSMArena ),
This chipset marks a significant step forward, as it’s reportedly being designed with Samsung’s second-generation 2nm process, known as SF2P.

Compared to its predecessor, the SF2P manufacturing node aims to deliver up to 12% higher performance while reducing power consumption by 25% and shrinking the die size by 8%.
These advancements, if achieved, would represent a massive leap in efficiency and power, bringing flagship Samsung phones closer to the performance levels demanded by cutting-edge mobile applications and intensive tasks.
The decision to bring back Exynos for the Galaxy S27 series, if true, reflects Samsung’s commitment to its proprietary chipsets, despite recent setbacks.

Earlier reports indicate that the upcoming Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S26 models will exclusively use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
This follows Samsung’s rumoured choice to abandon its Exynos 2500 for the Galaxy S25 series due to low production yields, even after mentioning the chipset during its earnings call.
The Exynos 2500 was intended to be Samsung’s 3nm debut, but challenges in production forced Samsung to opt for Snapdragon instead.

Whether this will prove to be the case, however, time will tell and the Galaxy S27 is a long way off yet, expected in 2027.
