What specs and features does the Samsung Galaxy S25 have?
With three new models and loads of upgrades, there’s a lot to talk about when it comes to the Galaxy S25 series.
Design
The Galaxy S25 series continues the design language we are already familiar with from previous models, but tweaking it slightly as usual. All three models now feature chunky black bezels around the cameras that match the Galaxy Z Fold 6 .

What’s more, the S25 Ultra is the thinnest Ultra model ever, with a 15% slimmer profile and thinner bezels than the S24 Ultra. While the S25 Ultra measures 77.6 x 162.8 x 8.2mm, the S25+ measures 75.8 x 158.4 x 7.3mm and the S25 dimensions are 70.5 x 146.9 x 7.2mm.
The series also scored a weight reduction: 15g lighter on the S25 Ultra, 7g lighter on the S25+, and 6g lighter on the S25.

In addition, the Galaxy S25 series features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and next-generation DX anti-reflective glass, although the latter only applies to the Ultra model.
The Ultra also features an improved titanium construction with the same boxy, but less sharp design and increased use of recycled materials.
Although the new models offer Qi 2 compatibility, the magnets required to make it work are only in the cases.

Finally, the standard Galaxy S25 and S25+ will be widely available in Navy, Icyblue, Mint and Silver Shadow, with Blueblack, Coralred and Pinkgold colours being online exclusives.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will widely feature Titanium Silverblue, Titanium Whitesilver, Titanium Gray and Titanium Black finishes, while Titanium Pinkgold, Titanium Jetblack and Titanium Jadegreen will remain as online exclusives.
Display
While the standard Galaxy S25 features a 6.2-inch FHD+ screen, the Galaxy S25+ opts for a slightly bigger 6.7-inch QHD+ display. The Galaxy S25 Ultra has the biggest of the lot, with a 6.9-inch QHD+ display.
See the regular S25 and S25 Ultra’s displays below:
All three displays feature Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology, 1-120Hz refresh rate and 2600 nits of maximum brightness.
Performance
The Galaxy S25 range is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, an overclocked version of Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM across all models in the whole series.
This advanced 3nm chip boasts notable improvements in performance, efficiency, and connectivity (including integrated Ultra-Wideband and Bluetooth 6.0), positioning the series as a powerhouse.
Samsung claims a 40% higher Geekbench score and an 18% increase in Vulkan FPS compared to the Galaxy S24 series. Additionally, the Galaxy S25 series also features a 15% larger vapour chamber on the S25 and S25+, and 40% bigger on the Ultra model.

Luke Baker / Foundry
The Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy is anticipated to set a new benchmark for Android devices, with early benchmarks for the Galaxy S25 Ultra (via Jukanlosreve on X) showcasing a dramatic leap in performance.
Achieving single-core and multi-core scores of 3,148 and 10,236, respectively, the S25 Ultra outperforms both the Galaxy S24 Ultra and even Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max in multi-core tests, which achieved 8,378 in our review.
These results suggest a device that isn’t only competitive but potentially dominant in the premium segment. Further benchmarks (via IceUniverse on X ) hint at similar high performance, although variations suggest caution in drawing definitive conclusions.
Cameras
Both the Galaxy S25 and S25+ feature the same camera setups from last year, including a 50Mp main, 12Mp ultrawide (with 120˚ field of view) and 10Mp 3x telephoto lens.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra also features nearly the same setup as its predecessor but opts for the new 50Mp ultrawide lens with macro capabilities. The other lenses are unchanged, so you still get a 200Mp main, 12Mp ultrawide and 10Mp 3x telephoto.

Luke Baker / Foundry
Additionally, the whole series features the next-gen ProVisual engine and 12Mp front-facing cameras.
Battery & charging
The standard Galaxy S25 has a 4000mAh battery with support for 25W wireless and 15W wireless charging.
The Galaxy S25+, on the other hand, has a more capacious 4900mAh cell, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra received just a slightly larger 5000mAh battery.
Both phones support 45W wired and 15W wireless charging.
Software
The Galaxy S25 series runs Samsung’s One UI 7 skin out of the box. While based on Android 15 , it adds brand-new features such as AI Integration, Personalised AI and Now Bar, which lets you get access to frequently used apps, controls, and information directly from the lock screen.
Additionally, Samsung promises 7 years of OS and security updates.
