The third film in the Sonic movie series adapts one of the most beloved stories of fans of the Blue Blur, and it’s gone down a hit with audiences.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 introduces the character Shadow the Hedgehog, voiced by Hollywood legend, Keanu Reeves. Team Sonic have a challenge on their hands when they face the Ultimate Life Form and another unexpected villain.

When does Sonic the Hedgehog 3 release in cinemas?
The third Sonic film is still out in cinemas in the US and UK.
You can book your tickets from AMC Theatres, Fandango and Atom Tickets in America, and Vue, Cineworld and Odeon in Great Britain.

When will Sonic the Hedgehog 3 be released on VOD?
This is only for purchase. If you want to rent it, you’ll have to wait until the following Monday, 10 March 2025 .
When will Sonic the Hedgehog 3 be released on streaming services?
The first streaming service Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will land will be Paramount+ – Sky customers in the UK can get a free subscription .
In America, the film will be available on Paramount+ from today, Tuesday 18 February 2025 . Prices start from $7.99 per month.
There isn’t yet a date for the UK Paramount+ release for Sonic 3, but it’s worth saying that Sonic 2 arrived on VOD and Paramount+ simultaneously. While that wasn’t the case in America, there is a chance that it could happen in the UK. So, we could see it drop between 24 February 2025 and 10 March (the dates for buying and rental).

When will Sonic the Hedgehog 3 be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
In the UK, Sonic 3 will arrive on 4K UHD SteelBook, 4K UHD, Blu-ray™ and DVD on 14 April 2025 . American viewers will get it the day after, on 15 April 2025 .
