The 10 th -gen iPad went up for pre-order immediately after its announcement on Tuesday 18 October, with general release on Wednesday 26 October 2022 .
How much does the 10th-gen iPad cost?
If you were hoping that the 10 th -gen iPad would mirror the cheap entry-level pricing of its predecessor, you’ll be disappointed.
As with the iPad Air and iPad mini, with a redesign comes a price hike. While the 9 th -gen iPad started at a tempting $329 / £319 at release in 2021, the 64GB model starts at $449 / £499 – an increase of $120 in the US and £180 in the UK.
That jumps up to $599 / £679 if you want a 256GB model, and it costs the same to opt for a 64GB model with 5G support if you need cellular connectivity.
The saving grace is that Apple has kept the 9 th -gen iPad on sale (though at a slightly increased £369 in the UK due to inflation) for those that want a truly cheap iPad.
