Honor has revealed the date of its next major launch event – and we don’t have long to wait.
Just like previous years, the Chinese company is holding a keynote on the eve of the annual MWC trade show. This year’s edition will take place on 1 March at the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona.
In a since-deleted post, reported by sites including GSMArena , Honor revealed the two main products that will be unveiled: the company’s new Robot Phone concept and Magic V6 foldable.
As exciting as a robotic camera arm may be, the Magic V6 looks set to be the highlight. While no concrete specs have been revealed, rumours suggest it could set a new standard for book-style folding phones , beating the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold .
A significant generational upgrade
According to Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station (via Huawei Central ), the Magic V6 is in line for a few big upgrades.
The first one is widely expected: a move to Qualcomm’s latest and great Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Performance was already a highlight of the Magic V5 , so this could take things to the next level.
The camera system is also set for a big step forward, with Honor including a 200Mp lens. Will this be the same f/2.6, 3.7x telephoto found on the Magic 8 Pro , or could it be the main sensor instead? Time will tell.

Last, and arguably most excitingly, is the battery capacity. Digital Chat Station believes that Honor will stick with the silicon-carbon battery tech found in the Magic V5, but boost the capacity to “the 7K level” – in other words, 7000mAh or more.
In our testing, the Magic V5 already lasted around a day and a half on a single charge. This upgrade could push that closer to two full days, which would be mightily impressive.
While there’s no word on the thin and light design, the 8.8mm (when closed), 214g chassis is already incredibly svelte.
If these upgrades materialise, the Magic V6 could be the new book-style foldable to beat. But it looks set to face stiff competition in 2026, with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Pixel 11 Pro Fold expected to be joined by the long-awaited foldable iPhone .
