In summary

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite power
  • 1.5K 165Hz display
  • Huge 7000mAh+ battery

Specifications have leaked for what could well turn out to be the OnePlus 15R, and it points towards another performance-focused yet affordable flagship phone .

The OnePlus 13R offered excellent performance at a competitive price when it arrived earlier this year, and its successor promises to do the same.

Tipsters Digital Chat Station and Debayan Roy have shared some core specifications for the OnePlus Ace 6. That’s the the China-focused handset that’s likely to make its way West under the OnePlus 15R moniker.

Just like the OnePlus 13R , the OnePlus 15R looks set to utilise the previous generation’s top Qualcomm chip. In this case that means the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which drives most of 2025’s flagship phones like the OnePlus 13 and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra .

OnePlus 15R specs

Sterling performance aside, the OnePlus 15R is predicted to feature a 1.5K flat OLED screen. Interestingly, this could also feature a 165Hz refresh rate, which could make the OnePlus 15R a top pick for gamers.

We could also be getting an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which is the kind of spec we expect to see in out and out flagship phones.

The camera system should be another triple affair, though we don’t have any specifics at this point.

OnePlus has also been tipped to utilise a massive 7000mAh (or larger) battery in the OnePlus 15R. Again, this could make the phone a great pick for those who like to game on the go.

We also get the claim that the OnePlus 15R will feature improved IP68 and IP69 certification. The OnePlus 13R, by contrast, only offering IP65.

Never mind the Pixel 10

Of OnePlus sticks to its sub-£700 pricing and these specifications prove accurate, the OnePlus 15R could seriously undercut the £800 Google Pixel 10 .

That display will be bigger, sharper, and smoother; the Snapdragon 8 Elite will almost certainly be faster than Google’s Tensor G5; there’s no way Google will be able to match a 7000mAh+ battery; and we’re not expecting the Pixel 10 to boast IP69 certification.

In fact, the only spec (taking design and software out of the equation) that the Pixel 10 might hold an advantage in is its camera – and it remains to be seen how Google’s rumoured shift to a triple array will pan out.
