When did Disney+ UK increase its prices?

Disney+ altered its prices on 30 September 2025 across all its major plans. If your renewal date is later than this, you may not have seen the new prices impact you just yet.

This is confirmed on the official website, as well as on adverts. See below for a screenshot:

How much is the Disney+ price increase?

Here are the changes:

  • Disney+ Standard with Ads Monthly: Increased from £4.99 to £5.99 per month
  • Disney+ Standard Monthly: Increased from £8.99 to £9.99 per month
  • Disney+ Standard Annually: Increased from £89.90 to £99.90
  • Disney+ Premium Monthly: Increased rom £12.99 to £14.99 per month
  • Disney+ Premium Annually: Increased from £129.90 to £149.90 per year

That’s around an 11% increase across all the plans. Unfortunately, we’ve now passed the deadline of locking in for an annual subscription, but there is something else you can do.

How to downgrade your Disney+ membership

The only way to save money is by downgrading the plan you’re on. So, if you’re on a Premium plan, you could downgrade to the Standard one. If you’re already on the latter, you could opt for the ad-supported version.

There’s also the option to lock in for an annual plan – you do save more in the long term.

If you wish to change your plan, here is what you need to do:

  • Login to the Disney+ website either on your PC, or mobile browser, not the app
  • Select your Profile
  • Select Account from the dropdown menu by hovering over your icon on the top-right
  • Under ‘Your Plans & Billing’ change your plan to the one you want
  • If you’re billed by a third party (such as Sky), there may be an external link to change it through them. If not, you may need to contact them directly

Alternatively, you can cancel your Disney+ membership altogether and try out a rival streaming platform .
