The upcoming Google Pixel 10 series are some of the most-leaked phones of all time, meaning we already have a very good idea of their new features.
And the one I’m most excited for is built-in Qi2 wireless charging support. If the rumours are to be believed, the new phones will have a built-in set of magnets, just like MagSafe on the iPhone.
This will enable a better wireless charging experience, but also a range of new accessories, apparently under the new ‘Pixelsnap’ branding.
If you own a recent Pixel, you might be looking at these leaks with envy. As a regular Pixel 9 Pro XL user, who’s tested the phone for many months , I don’t want to have to get a new phone to benefit from MagSafe!
Luckily, Mous has a solution, and it’s surprisingly simple. The company has a range of ‘MagSafe Compatible’ cases, which (you guessed it) add support for MagSafe to phones that don’t already have it.
Several designs are available for recent Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones . The version for my Pixel 9 Pro XL currently costs just £29.99, which is a bargain if you ask me.
Still, when the case arrived, I was sceptical. It adds almost zero bulk to my phone, so how could there be enough space for the strong magnets that are necessary?
So, I tested it with Apple’s official ‘MagSafe Charger’, which costs £39 when bought new . And it just…worked! Like, straight away, and I didn’t even have to do anything. Why had I been living without it for so long?
Now, it’s worth mentioning that the Pixel 9 Pro XL wirelessly charges at just 12W unless you have a compatible stand accessory, so it’s a convenient solution rather than a practical one. But charging is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to MagSafe.

Having been around for five years, an impressive MagSafe ecosystem has now built up, with a wide range of accessories available from Apple and a variety of third-party companies, including Mous. You can buy compatible grips, suction mounts, wallets, power banks, keychains and even a full-blown docking station.
Even if the accessory says it’s specifically designed for the iPhone, it’ll still work with any Mous MagSafe case. I’m excited to build up my collection of MagSafe accessories.
Once the Pixel 10 series launches, Google’s lineup of Pixelsnap accessories is also likely to be compatible.
This case isn’t all about MagSafe, though. The ‘Super Thin’ version I chose features a tough, durable polycarbonate shell, plus a soft microfibre lining to cushion the phone. Cases like these have cracked on me in the past, but Mous says the corner cut-outs have been specifically designed to prevent this, and it’s certainly held up well so far.
With seamless MagSafe compatibility, top-notch protection and an affordable price tag, this Mous case has opened up a whole new world of accessories for my Pixel phone that I didn’t know I could use.
