Are you getting value for money from your smartphone plan? Until recently, I’d have probably said no, but that’s all changed since I bought this superb Smarty SIM deal.
For just £7 per month, you can get an incredible 32GB of 4G or 5G data – that’s quadruple the usual amount. Alongside unlimited UK calls and texts, it’s stellar value for money.
The boosted data applies for 15 months from the date of purchase, after which it reverts to the usual 8GB. But as a rolling one-month contract, you can simply cancel and swap to a better deal at any time.
However, make sure you take advantage of this deal before it expires at 11.59pm on 31 March .
When I was researching which SIM-only plan to buy, the generous data allowance was the first thing that caught my attention. But the more I researched it, the more impressed I became.
Smarty is owned by Three and runs on its parent company’s network, which I know works well in my area. With 99% UK 4G coverage, it’s likely to be the same for you, though it’s worth putting your postcode into Three’s coverage checker .
As someone who regularly travels to Europe for work, having EU roaming included is non-negotiable. Smarty lets you use up to 12GB of your plan in the European Union each month, which already proved useful during a trip to Barcelona for MWC .

Back home in the UK, there’s no limit on how much data you can use as a personal hotspot. As someone who works from home, having this robust backup to my Wi-Fi gives me great peace of mind.
Other perks include no restriction on speeds (provided you have a 5G-compatible phone) and no credit checks. And unlike most providers, Smarty has committed to never raising the price of your contract before you cancel.
Switching is also remarkably easy. After getting a PAC code from my previous provider (text ‘PAC’ to 65075 if you’re unsure how), I simply put the SIM card into my phone and entered it in the Smarty mobile app. My existing phone number was moved in a couple of days and my previous contract was automatically cancelled.
While 32GB for £7 per month is the best value plan, there are lots of great Smarty plans worth considering.
