Anyone worried about the potential durability of Samsung’s super-skinny new smartphone , the Galaxy S25 Edge, can rest assured – at least if recent claims are to be believed.
According to established tipster Ice Universe , the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is going to feature a titanium alloy frame. If true, this would provide added toughness whilst keeping things nice and light.
This latest claim doesn’t chime with previous rumours that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be made of aluminium and ceramic. However, we have reason to believe that there might be something to it.
Following the Galaxy S25 Edge’s titanium trail
Last week we reported on leaked details concerning the Galaxy S25 Edge’s colour options .
Android Headlines carried the claim that the forthcoming phone would come in Titanium Icyblue, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Jetblack.
As we noted at the time, these colour names didn’t make a great deal of sense based on the material claims being made at the time. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra uses ‘Titanium’ in its colour naming, and its frame is made of titanium.
Neither the Samsung Galaxy S25 nor the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus use Titanium in the naming of their colour options, and guess what? They’re made of aluminium.
The answer has been staring us in the face for a week – the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge frame will be made of titanium. Probably.

Galaxy S25 Edge to look particularly sharp
That’s not all that Ice Universe had to say about the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge.
The tipster also dropped the news that it would feature a 2K screen.
We’ve heard previously that the Edge’s screen would be virtually identical to the Samsung Galaxy S25+, so this makes sense. The latter phone’s screen is a 6.7-inch AMOLED with a 3,120 x 1,440 (aka 2K or QHD+) resolution. It’s a fair bet the Galaxy S25 Edge screen will look the same.
We’re expecting to see the Samsung Galaxy S25 emerge some time in April. It’s widely tipped to be priced somewhere in between the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra, so news of these premium components is somewhat reassuring.
