One of the biggest events in the Apple calendar is the Worldwide Developers Conference. This event brings developers together from around the world to learn about the next big software and hardware launches from the tech giant.

It means we can expect another appearance from Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, Craig Federighi – here are his funniest moments from past events .

Here’s everything you need to know about WWDC 2025, including what day the famous keynote is due to take place and what you should expect from this year’s virtual event.

When is WWDC 2025?

WWDC 2025 is set to take place between 9-13 June 2025. Apple has confirmed that it’ll host a keynote on the first day of the conference, Monday 9 June 2025 , to officially unveil its biggest announcements.

Here’s what time the keynote is taking place:

  • 6pm BST (UK)
  • 10am PT (West Coast US)
  • 1pm ET (East Coast US)
  • 3am AEST (East Coast Australia)

How to watch the WWDC 2025 keynote

The keynote is what most Apple fans will be keeping an eye out for, and Apple usually broadcasts this on YouTube. We’ll embed it in this article when the time rolls around, so feel free to bookmark this page.

In the meantime, take a look at last year’s keynote here:

Where will WWDC 2025 take place?

Like usual, Apple will host WWDC at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. This year’s event is hybrid, though most people will be watching online.

The WWDC 2025 keynote, along with all the developer sessions, will be available via livestream – although the latter is exclusive to paid developers.

Like last year, a small number of developers and students can watch the keynote and State of Union videos at Apple Park on the day. The special all-day event will let a select few watch the keynote and Platforms State of the Union videos at Apple HQ alongside Apple engineers and experts.

You can apply to go via Apple’s website .

What will Apple announce at WWDC 2025?

The big question is, what will Apple announce during its opening keynote at WWDC 2025? It’s not a secret that Apple tends to showcase the next big updates for its various operating systems, but we could see hardware releases this year too.

iOS 19

iOS 19 will almost certainly be the biggest announcement for most tuning into the event, as it affects the majority of iPhone users.

Current rumours suggest we’ll be getting a big design overhaul, which could take inspiration from the interface on the Vision Pro . We’re also expecting the latest version of RCS messaging, upgrades to the Home and Camera apps and the long-awaited AI-powered Siri. Look out for other new examples of Apple Intelligence , too.

The OS will first be released to developers in beta, and then will likely roll out to the public around September – just in time for the new set of iPhones .
