Xiaomi’s Mi 9 Lite has been flying off the virtual store shelves over the Black Friday weekend at GearBest, where it is now listing the recently announced entry model in Xiaomi’s flagship phone family even cheaper for Cyber Monday at £172.70 .
The best GearBest discounts are always unlocked using coupon codes, which we admit can be a little confusing when you’re dealing with multiple colour options and storage/RAM capacities. To clear things up this deal is for the 64GB storage Mi 9 Lite in White only .
Currently listed on the site at £232.36 (though prices do fluctuate), you can use coupon code GBM9LITE1 at checkout to bring this down to just £172.70.
Given that this is an immensely popular deal, it’s not going to hang around for long, but if you do miss out you can also grab the 128GB storage version in Grey for £196.25 using coupon code GBM9LITE6 .
Both deals are shipping from China, with free delivery to the UK in 10-18 working days. Do note that upon arrival in the UK you may be requested to pay import duty by Customs, which is calculated at 20% of whatever value is printed on the shipping paperwork. Factor it into your budget just in case.
Why buy Xiaomi’s Mi 9 Lite?
Announced in Spain in September, the Mi 9 Lite is not yet officially available in the UK, which means to get hold of one you will have to ship it into the country.
At its full price (which in Spain is €319/€349), it’s just €10 cheaper than the Mi 9T , swapping out the Snapdragon 730 for the 710, and the 20Mp pop-up selfie camera for a 32Mp notch version, but holding on to the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Although it’s a member of Xiaomi’s Mi 9 flagship phone family, the Mi 9 Lite is a mid-range phone – and a very good one at that. It boasts a 6.39in Full-HD+ AMOLED display, a 48M triple-lens camera and a capacious 4,030mAh battery. Unlike the cheaper Mi A3 it includes NFC.
