Xiaomi has today globally announced its Redmi Note 9S (reviewed) , the latest in its budget phone line.

The Redmi Note series is the best-selling in Xiaomi’s history, and the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 8T have flown high in our best budget smartphones ranking for their excellent balance of features, performance and value. The latest addition to the series is sure to do the same, with its 6.67in 20:9 display, Snapdragon 720G processor, huge battery and 48Mp quad-lens rear camera.

Although we will have to wait to learn UK pricing and availability, we already know that this phone will be available in Spain from 7 April at €249 (4GB/64GB)/€279 (6GB/128GB). We’d imagine those prices will roughly translate to £249 and £279.

The phone is available in Glacier White, Aurora Blue and Interstellar Grey.
