Our Verdict

The Yeedi S14 Plus is a robot vacuum with high suction power and a new roller mop that minimises water left on the floor. It has powerful (18,000 Pa) suction, and the station takes on most of the robot’s maintenance: cleaning, drying, emptying and refilling. We think it’s effective and efficient.

The brand-new flagship Yeedi S14 Plus was introduced at CES 2025 and picked up more than one cleaning award. It’s easily one of the best robot vacuums I’ve tested, although it’s not the cheapest. With an innovative roller mop, this robot vacuum will sweep and mop your floors to perfection.

You can see how it stacks up against our other top recommendations by checking out our best robot vacuums round-up. For more budget-friendly models, see the best cheap robot vacuums we’ve reviewed.

Design and Build

  • Roller mopping
  • Sleek design
  • Large base station

The Yeedi S14 Plus delivers everything you would expect from a high-end robot vacuum but adds a twist in the shape of a roller mop. Instead of the mop pad you’ll see on budget or older models, or the flagship rotating mops, Yeedi is banking on new technology in the form of a roller mop, which we’ve previously only seen on traditional, hand operated wet and dry vacuums .

The S14 Plus will do everything you expect from a robot vacuum, using sensors to recognise what’s on the ground, map the home, and navigate around obstacles.

The top of the robot features a touch button and an easy-to-remove plate to expose the power switch and the Wi-Fi button, alongside a QR code that will help you to quickly find the Yeedi app for your phone.

If you’re looking for a compact station, this isn’t the one for you as it’s fairly tall and wide, with the very top occupied by the two water tanks for clean and dirty water. The front features a removable plate covering dust bag compartment.

The Omni Station has a long list of jobs it can perform, starting with automatically emptying the dust bin on your robot, refilling and draining the water tank, cleaning the base itself, cleaning the mop with very hot water, and then hot air drying the mops to minimise nasty smells.

Performance & Features

  • Powerful: 18,000 Pa suction power
  • Roller mop cleaning
  • Anti-hair wrap technology

The first thing you’re going to do is pair the robot with the Yeedi app, which is super easy to do and only takes a few minutes of your time. This isn’t the first time I’ve reviewed a Yeedi robot vacuum, but it’s been a while since I used the app, so I was pleasantly surprised by software updates that have made it sleeker, easier to use, and simple to navigate.

The Yeedi S14 Plus allows you to choose between multiple cleaning modes, including vacuuming only, vacuuming and mopping at the same time, and mopping after vacuuming. I personally prefer the latter as I feel it gives better results when you remove debris and hair off the floors first, before introducing a mop.

Other choices you can make from the app are changing the suction power, water flow rate, cleaning speed, and choosing whether you want the robot to take one or two cleaning passes.

Within the app’s more advanced settings, you can make other adjustments, such as having the robot automatically increase suction power when it detects carpet, cleaning the carpet before other areas, and more.

The S14 Plus is fairly fast in mapping the home. Once that map is complete, you can name areas, set up virtual boundaries, divide spaces that were mapped as a whole by mistake, add furniture, choose flooring materials, and so on.

If you want to issue voice commands to start cleaning jobs, you can integrate the Yeedi app with Alexa or Google Assistant.

Yeedi S14 Plus mop and vacuum - 5

Yeedi

With 18,000 Pa of suction power, this robot delivered great results across all flooring types, picking up dirt, debris, and pet hair from all surfaces. After my dogs and cat chase each other around the house, there’s typically a lot of hair flying around, but the Yeedi handled it well.

It also performed well when I ran some tests, throwing down rice in one instance and coffee grounds in another. The S14 Plus methodically went over the area, picking up every grain of rice and every speck of coffee dust, without spreading mess around.

As this isn’t the first Yeedi I’ve reviewed, I was worried about navigation and obstacle avoidance. In the past, this has always been an issue. While the robot could, for the most part, find its way around the house and return to its base, it would eat any socks I left on the floor, get tangled up in wires, and so on.

Yeedi S14 Plus sensors - 6

Gabriela Vatu

This time around, I was pleasantly surprised to find that that not only did it always efficiently navigate the home, but it also (finally) avoided obstacles. I threw down some socks, a wire, and one of my kid’s toys to see how it dealt with them.

The S14 Plus completely avoided the socks and the wire, carefully cleaning around them and gently pushing the toy a bit to make room to clean. It didn’t, however, barrel straight through it. This was a massive improvement over previous experiences, so I declare myself happy with the performance.

S14 Plus has a two-tier system for dealing with hair that is typically tangled around the brush bar. First, there’s a wrap-resistant V-shaped rubber brush. Even better, there’s also a set of combs that will cut long strands of hair.

Now, on to the best part: the mop. Instead of the budget mop plate that’s dragged beneath the robot, or the current flagship favourite, rotating twin mops, the Yeedi S14 Plus features a roller mop. As the robot moves around, the mop is constantly washed, the dirt is scraped off, and the water is recovered. This means it won’t spread mess or wet the floors too much.

The mop also applies pressure to better scrub the floors and remove coffee stains, your pet’s dirty paw prints, and so on. The mop also extends to the side to more efficiently reach corners and edges.

I found this type of mopping at least on par, if not an improvement on, rotating mops. But there is a downside: I noticed some post-mopping tracks. It’s not the end of the world, of course, but if you have light-coloured floors, you may spot those too.

But, how do you remove it? Brute force isn’t the answer. You don’t even have to turn the robot belly up (like I did). Instead, you go into the app, tap on the settings button in the upper corner, and then scroll all the way to the bottom until you find the “Roller Mop Release/Retract” button. Once you press that button, the mop will automatically disengage and you can just pull it out and replace it. Easy-peasy.

The station takes on a lot of jobs, including washing and drying the mops and washing the base itself. However, you still have some maintenance to take care of, including wiping the sensors and taking out the baseplate, as you’ll see a lot of dirt build-up over time.

Price & Availability

This brings the price down to $949.99, which is still pricey but good value for its quality and feature set. To compare it to our top recommendations, see our round-ups of the best robot vacuums and the best cheap robot vacuums we’ve tested.

Should you buy the Yeedi S14 Plus?

We think the S14 Plus is a significant step up from other Yeedi robot vacuums we’ve tested. Partly this is down to the updated app, which is much more user-friendly. But we also think this model packs in a lot of impressive features for its price: powerful suction, good obstacle avoidance, the extending sweeper, and the comprehensive dock, which takes care of much of the robot’s day-to-day maintenance.

We also liked the design of the mopping rollers, which don’t spread mess or water around your floors.
